Sehen so Verlierer aus? Als Norbert Röttgen am Montagmittag neben Angela Merkel vor die versammelte Hauptstadtpresse tritt, um erneut seine "flächendeckende, umfassende, klare Niederlage" bei der Landtagswahl in Nordrhein-Westfalen einzuräumen, macht er bereits wieder einen ganz gefassten Eindruck.
Und doch dürfte ihn das Ritual, dem er sich stellen musste, kaum weniger schmerzen als der Wahlabend in Nordrhein-Westfalen. Ging es dort noch ausschließlich um Landespolitik, so verweist sein Auftritt in Berlin darauf, dass er auch hier nicht mehr der ist, der er noch bis vor Kurzem war: der Hoffnungsträger, das Nachwuchstalent, dem alle Wege offenzustehen schienen.

Cette information vous permet d'exploiter quelques liens utiles pour vos révisions en Histoire pour le concours d'entrée en IEP, concours dans lequel l'enjeu européen n'est pas à négliger, bien qu'il soit « tomber » l'année dernière, puis à nouveau cette année en FIFA, FIFB, etc.

Les catholiques doivent-ils se constituer en « contre-culture » ?


Chers élèves,
Décidément, le journal catholique La Croix est particulièrement utile en cette année de préparation au concours d'entrée en IEP face au thème « la religion » ! En soit, c'est cohérent !
Ainsi, nous vous conseillons de vous pencher sur le court article suivant de Frédéric Mounier : Les catholiques doivent-ils se constituer en « contre-culture » ? Cet article évoque l'analyse de l'archevêque de Dijon sur les conséquences de l’évolution des sociétés sécularisées.
Vous analyserez ces quelques extraits qui amènent à réflexion, notamment lorsque l'archevêque rappelle que « c’est sur le terreau du christianisme qu’est née l’idée de liberté religieuse, au début du IIème siècle. ». Distinguant, depuis les origines, ce qui revient à Dieu et à César, le christianisme a ainsi permis l’épanouissement des libertés fondamentales (ce qui reprend l'idée de Marcel Gauchet, entre autre, qu'une des sources du libéralisme se trouve dans le christianisme). Mais, a constaté Mgr Minnerath, la liberté religieuse n’est pas comprise dans les sociétés, notamment musulmanes, où cette distinction n’existe pas.
Bien sûr, ne nous méprenons pas, ce sont les propos de l'archevêque de Dijon, mais ils ont le mérite de rappeler un des questionnements les plus fouillés actuellement sur l'Islam, c'est-à-dire l'Islam est-il compatible avec la laïcité,  questionnement qui n'oppose pas seulement les chrétiens aux musulmans, mais les musulmans entre eux également. Ainsi, cela nous permet de vous rappeler que vous ne pouvez vous représenter le monde musulman comme monolithique !
Pour info., Frédéric Mounier est l’envoyé spécial permanent de « La Croix » à Rome. En fonction depuis le 15 août 2009, il suit l’actualité religieuse et diplomatique du Vatican, ainsi que l’actualité de l’Eglise universelle présente à Rome à travers l’ensemble des congrégations et ordres religieux. Spécialiste de l’information religieuse depuis près de 20 ans, il a longtemps dirigé le service « Religions » de La Croix.

So who won ?

France presidential election: Who won TV debate?

The French only got the chance for one televised debate between Sunday's two presidential candidates, but my word did it live up to expectations.
By turns passionate, confrontational, rowdy - even abusive - but also instructive and comprehensive, it must have kept viewers glued to their seats for the full three hours.
The tone was set in the first minutes, when - after Francois Hollande's measured, maybe ponderous, opening remarks about his three key principles: justice, recovery, unity - Nicolas Sarkozy went straight on the attack.
Scorning what he called Mr Hollande's "empty formulas", the incumbent president said that what the Socialist meant by rassemblement (bringing people together) applied "only to those who agree with you".

Der sonst so sanfte Sozialist Hollande überrascht Sarkozys Lager mit seiner "aggressiven Seite": Weder Konservative noch politische Beobachter rechneten damit, dass er so "kämpferisch und arrogant" auftreten würde - wo er doch hinter der Kamera "so schlaff" sei. Hollande selbst scheint sich in seiner Rolle gefallen zu haben. Einen klaren Sieger gab es nicht - doch der Herausforderer bleibt Favorit für die Stichwahl.
Lange galt er als farblos, schlaff, dröge. Doch bei dem großen Fernsehduell überraschte der sozialistische Favorit François Hollande selbst seine schärfsten Kritiker. Sarkozys Lager musste einräumen, man habe nicht mit einem solchen Auftritt gerechnet. Sarkozys Sprecherin Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet sagte dem Sender France Inter: "Ich war erstaunt über die aggressive Seite von François Hollande."

KABUL, Afghanistan — President Obama, speaking to an American television audience on Tuesday night from Bagram Air Base, declared that he had traveled here to herald a new era in the relationship between the United States and Afghanistan, “a future in which war ends, and a new chapter begins.”
Mr. Obama’s address, during an unannounced visit to sign a strategic partnership agreement with President Hamid Karzai that sets the terms for relations after the departure of American troops in 2014, was a chance for him to make an election-year case that he is winding down a costly and increasingly unpopular war.

Obama makes surprise trip to Afghanistan to sign key pact, mark bin Laden raid

President Obama outlined his plan to end America’s longest foreign war during a visit here Tuesday colored by election-year politics and economic uncertainty, declaring that “this time of war began in Afghanistan, and this is where it will end.”
“We have traveled through more than a decade under the dark cloud of war,” the president said at a U.S. military base. “In the pre-dawn darkness of Afghanistan, we can see the light of a new day on the horizon.”

Obama, Karzai Sign Strategic Afghan Pact

President Barack Obama made a symbolic trip to Afghanistan on Tuesday, arriving on the first anniversary of the killing of al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden to sign an agreement with President Hamid Karzai that marks a transition in the war while committing the U.S. to another decade of economic and military aid.
Mr. Obama said the Strategic Partnership Agreement he signed in Kabul would allow the U.S. to disentangle from Afghanistan, while not specifying funding or troop levels.
